| The healing climatic conditions occuring especially in the southwest
of the island, and most notably in Los Cristianos, were decisive in
the choice of the location for the hotel. |

The northeast trade winds, the closeness to equator, the influence
of the Gulf stream and of the surrounding ocean are responsible
for the mildness of the climate. This is especially the case to
the south side of the 3.718 m high volcanic mountain, Teide. It
is therefore not surprising that the island of Tenerife has for
decades been known as being one of the areas with the best climate
in the world.

| The most seawinds form rain clouds over the northern hills
of the island and of the vulcano. (This affects the area of
Puerto de La Cruz and that is the reason why this area remains
green) After raining, the remaining dry and warm air reaches
the southern hills of the volcano, hits the sea, flows back
to the coast and ascends again up to the southern hills (Rotation
winds). The mild and warm air during day and night-time lead
to incredibly healthy weather conditions which can rarely be
found in any of the other of the Canary Islands. |

| The positive effects of this climate on people suffering from
Multiple Sclerosis, rheumatic affections, Psoriasis, Neurodermitis
or allergic illnesses has resulted in many people from all over
Europe coming to the island in the search of cure or treatment. |

A reputed german scientist, Prof. Dr. Hiltermann, made a
thorough research of the climate in Los Cristianos and concluded
as follows:
|
| |
| The climatic in Los Cristianos meets all requirements
of Medical Meteorology. All bioclimatic factors of influence
are present in an optimal way. Refering to the Thermic, the
important thing is that long-wave radiation and solar radiation
hardly warm up the air temperature in shade above 30 º
C. A low average air humidity of 49 % prevents the normal transpiration
of any given warm current. Due to this fact there is no Heat
Stress. Also the balance between day and night temperatures
is to be considered as a stabilizing factor. |
