Dive into the fascinating Tenerife’s undersea world. Our Diving Centre Mar y Sol Aqua Sport and the qualified dive instructors will lead you through the exotic oceanic landscapes so that you can admire the immense variety of sea species in the Atlantic Ocean.

If you are not sure whether diving is the right thing for you, just give it a try and have assessment for Scuba diving in the 32 ºC swimming pool. Professional Open Water-Courses in the Atlantic Ocean welcome you to the fantastic world of weightlessness. Even those with a very restricted mobility (MS, Paraplegic etc.) can take part of this unique sport activity.

The experience of freely moving around or of standing in an upright position can be an incredible sensation for those handicapped with paralysis or muscular atrophy.

Under the effect of weightlessness the remaining body force is sometimes enough to enable movements by oneself. These might be the first movements in years. Many people will benefit from this therapy because even swimming with floating devices overloads the muscles and coordination capacity of the handicapped swimmer.

Handicapped diving therapy results in benefits from an increased feeling of well-being which is hard to obtain through conventional movement therapy:

Body functions such as breathing and circulation improve. The movements, possible in the water, prevent the appearance of anchylosis, counter muscular spasms and improve sitting balance and general muscle tone. The water pressure improves blood circulation through the veins and the absorption of tissue in the blood.

There are few rehabilitation centres in Europe offering diving therapy and Mar y Sol is one of the first ones to include this exciting therapy in its program.
